During 1937, the survey of the district with regard to overcrowding
was completed and owners are being informed of the
number of persons allowed per house.
A further work added to the Department is the inspection of
Hairdressers' premises carried out to enforce the provision of the
new Bye-laws in connection therewith.
The passing of the Public Health Act, 1936, has needed some
reorganisation in the work of the Department.
