BABY WEEK.
This took place on the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th of July, Garden
Parties being held at St. George's Hall, Freezywater and The Red
Triangle Club, Church Street, Enfield.
Baby Week in Enfield has grown in popularity. In 1928 the
total attendances during the week were 1,006; in 1937 they had
risen to 1,922.
This is not due to the fact that the mothers are treated any better
at these functions than they were in 1928; in fact there is less entertainment
now than then. I think it represents the keenness of the
mothers and their interest in their local Maternity and Child Welfare
Centre.
