Tonsils and Adenoids.—One thousand two hundred and five
children had already had operation for removal of tonsils and/or
adenoids; 663 were found to have enlarged tonsils, adenoids, or
both.

Eye Diseases and Defects.—Twenty-nine children were found
to be suffering from external eye disease. Twenty-eight were
referred for treatment to the minor ailment clinic and one was kept
under observation. Two hundred and forty-three cases of defective
vision were referred for treatment to the Ophthalmic Clinic or
Hospital; forty-three of these had squint.
