Council and private enterprise during the year. This means
additional work for my Department and additional plant to deal
with the collection and disposal of refuse, and the Council have
agreed to the purchase of a new dust vehicle and the replacement
of two of an older pattern. The purchase of a Cesspool
and Gulley Emptier will be a material improvement of the amenities
of the District.
I beg to take this opportunity of recording my thanks to
the Council for its courtesy, my colleagues for their constant
co-operation, and my Staff for its continued loyalty throughout
the year.
I am, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
D. H. GEFFEN,
Medical Officer of Health.
