POPULATION.
The Registrar-General, from data collected at the Census
taken in June, 1921, has fixed the population of Enfield at 60,743.
The actual figures fall somewhat below the estimates that had
been made in previous years, with the result that rates calculated
for a few years prior to 1921 have been based on too large a population
and have, therefore, in some respects appeared unduly favourable
to the District.
BIRTHS.
The number of births registered in the District was:—
Boys, 583. Girls, 529. Total, 1,112.
including 20 illegitimate births, i.e., 1.79 per cent, of the total.

The births of boys and girls, including those registered outside the District, also birth-rates for the last three years, were:—
