ESTABLISHMENTS FOR MASSAGE OR SPECIAL TREATMENT
In 1941 the Council resolved that Part 7 of the Middlesex County
Council Act, 1934 bo put into operation in the Borough.

TUBERCULOSIS

The table below gives details of the ages and sex of new cases of Tuberculosis, also deaths from the disease; this latter figure includes the deaths of non-notified cases.

In addition 12 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and 1 case of nonpulmonary
tuberculosis previously notified in other areas, moved into
Edmonton.

There wore thus 6 non-notified deaths out of a total of 66 persons
registered as dying of tuberculosis (Registrar's figures). Regarding
the non-notification of the above cases, there was no suggestion of
wilful neglect or of refusal to notify.
