GENERAL PROVISION OF HEALTH SERVICES IN THE BOROUGH

The Middlesex County Council is the Authority under the Food and Drugs Act as
regards adulteration.
AMBULANCE FACILITIES

The Council possesses three ambulances, housed at the Fire Brigade Station, and the following figures, kindly supplied by the Superintendent, give some idea of the work carried out during the year:-

First aid was rendered on 151 occasions, whilst the resusitating
apparatus was in use 36 times. The bedside apparatus for the supply of
oxygen was requested by 82 patients.
The total mileage of the vehicles was 31,248 miles.
The Council's small bus conveys the deaf and dumb and partially blind
children to and from school, picks up a few other childron in the morning
taking then to a spot to meet the guide; also conveys children to and from
London railway termini in connection with convalescent home treatment.
