Scarlet Fever, 3. Diphtheria, 2. Pneumonia, 1.
Dysentery, 37. Cerebro Spinal Fever, 1.
Scari.et Fever.—Out of 340 cases of scarlet fever only 125
cases were removed to hospital. Accommodation for cases of
scarlet fever at the Isolation Hospital has been much reduced
and only in exceptional circumstances have cases been admitted.
There were no deaths from this disease.
Diphtheria.—All the cases of diphtheria were removed to
hospital. There was one death from this disease.
Diphtheria 1 minimization.—The protection of children by means
of immunization is considered on page 31.
