INFANT LIFE PROTECTION (CHILDREN ACTS).
The law relating to Infant Life Protection is contained in
Part I of the Children Act, 1908, as amended by Part V of the

Schedules to this Act. The amendments effected by the Act of
1932 came into force on the 1st January, 1933, and particulars
regarding the new requirements with regard to the reception of
children for reward were sent to every person in the Borough who
had been registered as a fostermother since the 1st April, 1930,
when the Council became the authority responsible for the supervision
of fosterchildren. Information regarding the Children
Acts was also published by advertisement in the local Press and
