OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The occupational therapist now spends approximately one day a week in the
Dagenham area, where previously three days were allotted. Owing to amalgamation
with Ilford, Romford and Forest areas there has been a great deal of work involved in
taking over stock and listing and pricing it.
Most of the patients had been doing basketry during the long period without a
therapist from April to October. There appears to be a great need to find some means
of selling the articles made by patients. At present relatives and friends assist and the
occupational therapist helps where possible. It is hoped that some means will be found
to enable prompt disposal of all goods as they come to hand, thus assisting in a practical
manner patients who are being visited by the occupational therapist.
