(11) Day Foster Mothers notify the Public Health
Department as soon as possible after the child is
removed from her care.
(12) Mothers are discouraged from going out to work
except in eases of financial difficulties.
(13) The services of Day Foster Mothers can be utilised
in special circumstances on single days, for instance,
if a mother has to attend hospital or on other similar
occasions.
It is not known that any similar scheme is in existence
in any other district. Reference is made to this
scheme in the Annual Report of the Ministry of Health
for the year 1938-39.
