Height and weight measurements were taken of all children. As in the
1969 and 1970 figures, this shows that Asian children are less heavy and
smaller than those of other groups. This is especially apparent between
the ages of five to twelve years.

From the 4th May, 1971, the use of the Tine Test for Tuberculosis on
all the children being examined was introduced. The figures for the Tine
Tests though small are as follows:—
Total number of children tested 383
Total number positive (i.e. those who had been
exposed to tuberculosis) 43
The results of further investigation at the Chest Clinic of these
children were:—
Cleared 17
For further observation 21
