VENEREAL DISEASES
The usual figures are given in Appendices pages 144 - 147,
There has been a change in the method of keeping records.
Age groups are now quoted, but without any previous records for
comparison, no comment can be made.
As regards total figures of new cases reported, both for
syphilis and for gonorrhoea the numbers are slightly smaller.
PUBLIC HEALTH LABORATORY SERVICE
Very considerable use has been made of the facilities for
bacteriological and other laboratory examinations of Public
Health nature. I take this opportunity to thank Dr. A.J.H.
Tomlinson, the Director of the Bacteriological Laboratory,County
Hall, S.E.I, for his ready assistance and most helpful advice,
which have been available at all times.
The following figures show the work carried out during the
year under review.
