OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
1963 was again a busy year for the Occupational Therapy
Department of the Chest Clinic.
Most of the Patients were keen to do useful work, and managed
to keep going remarkably well on the whole, even through
the bitterly cold Winter.
The Showcase in the Chest Clinic entrance hall is becoming
invaluable, and Patients receive a steady flow of orders for the
goods displayed there.
We have been a little more ambitious this year over producing
goods for Christmas and for the Annual Sale of Work at
Queen's Hospital, and the Patients turned out some original
rooden toys, tables and trays. The Sale was most successful.
The extra three-hour Occupational Therapy session per week
provided by the Welfare Department is proying very helpful and
leans that more time can be spent with each patient than was
previously possible.
