Attendance by the patients at the Speech Clinic throughout
1951 has been regular and continuous. This is largely accounted
for by the number of severe speech cases referred, which makes
patients realise the necessity for co-operation. There has been a
corresponding decline in the number of less severe articulatory
defects.
NON-MAINTAINED SCHOOLS.
The usual arrangements for the medical inspection of nonmaintained
school children were continued in 1951, 122 children
were examined. Table II of Appendix B gives the detailed
findings.
Yours faithfully,
S. L. WRIGHT,
School Medical Officer.
