Blood Transfusion (84 Obstetrical and 51 Gymaecological cases).
For every case, stored blood from the Blood Transfusion
Depot, Sutton, was used.

Infant Feeding and Weight on Discharge from Hospital.
In both hospitals normal infants were breast-fed every four
hours omitting the early morning feed.
Of 1,114 infants discharged from Mayday Hospital, 717 were
up to or over birth weight (64 per cent.).
Of 667 infants discharged from St. Mary's Maternity Hospital,
423 were up to or over birth weight (63 per cent.)
Twins and Triplets.

There were 33 cases of Twins and 1 of Triplets. There was no maternal death.
