intermediate level, becomes infected with an organism of high
virulence, he might succumb to a mild or moderately severe
attack of diphtheria. Such an event disturbs the parents not a
little. They may, however, take comfort from the fact that, had
their child not been treated at the Clinic, the attack of diphtheria
would have been much more severe and possibly fatal.
