4.—Bakehouses.
The control of Bakehouses is dealt with under the Factory anc
Workshops Act and the Public Health Act and Croydon Corporation
Act, 1924. For details of Croydon Corporation Act see undei

Considerable improvements have been carried out in connection
with bakehouses during the year. One noteworthy feature i;
the provision of washing facilities and towels for the worker;
employed.
5.—Home Work.
Lists of home workers are sent in twice yearly. 260 lists containing
the names of 224 outworkers residing within the Borough
were received from employers and Local Authorities. 228 visit;
were paid to outworkers, 38 visits were paid to premises ol
employers of outworkers to examine lists and for other purposes.
