children and young persons under 16 years of age. 375 applicants
for employment certificates were examined. In 2 instances
it was necessary to refuse a certificate, on grounds of health. The
children granted certificates are kept under supervision, and
undergo periodic re-inspection.

Bursars and Student Teachers.
33 candidates who desired to become bursars and student
teachers were medically examined during the year.
