It will be noted that in the table showing Summary of
Causes of Death registered during the year ended 31st December,
1951, is recorded a death from Diphtheria. The case
refers to a male aged 17 years who when admitted to hospital
in April, 1951 was reported to have had Diphtheria at the age
of 7 years. Diphtheria was, therefore, only remotely associated
with this death which was attributed to this cause for
technical reasons only.
