MOVEABLE DWELLINGS.
With the clearance of caravans from the Corke's Meadow site
in 1957, the total number of families using moveable dwellings
showed a large decline.
The principal problem now centres on the encampment at
Chalk Pit, Ruxley, which was first used for this purpose during the
last war, by dwellers from Corke's Meadow.
