Number of new houses erected during the year:—
By the Council: 109 permanent houses, 104 Arcon
Mark V Temporary Bungalows.
By other persons: 148, including rebuilding wardestroyed
houses.
HEALTH VISITOR.
The Council employs one full-time Health Visitor, who
works under the supervision of the Medical Officer of
Health.
During the year she has paid a total of 1,086 visits.
MATERNITY AND CHILD WELFARE.
The work in connection with Maternity and Child Welfare
is under the control of the Kent Countv Council.

DOMESTIC HELP SERVICE.
The powers of administration of the Domestic Help
Service to provide assistance in homes where persons are
aged or infirm are delegated to the Council by the County
Council.
One part-time Supervisor attached to the Public Health
Department is in charge of the administration of the
Scheme, and at the end of the year there were one wholetime
and 27 part-time Domestic Helps on the register.
During the year 199 homes were supplied with domestic
help.
