MEAT INSPECTION.
The following Table shows the work carried out in con
nection with the slaughtering of animals for human
consumption:—

SMOKE ABATEMENT.
During the year 15 inspections were made in respect of
nuisances arising from the emission of smoke.
SHOPS ACTS.
During the year 227 inspections and observations were
made, and 11 informal notices were served in connection
with the Shops Acts.
RIVERS AND STREAMS.
During the year 25 inspections of rivers and streams were
made.
Two nuisances were found and remedied.
ADOPTIVE ACTS AND BYELAWS.
No Acts or Byelaws were adopted during the year.
