3. Notices.
665 Informal Notices were served, drawing the attentions
of property owners and others to the existence of nuisances
and requesting abatement.
It was found necessary to serve 11 Statutory Notices under
the Public Health Acts to secure the abatement of nuisances
where Informal Notices had not received compliance. In one
instance (absence of a proper water supply) it was found
necessary to resort to legal proceedings, in consequence of
which a fine of 10s. was imposed.
