It was found necessary to remove 20 of the cases to the Isolation
Hospital, which was a decrease of 1 case over the previous year.
Of this number 2 patients were still in the Hospital at the end of
the year.
The parents have readily assented to the removal of their
children to the Isolation Hospital, and the Medical Practitioners
have rendered valuable assistance by telegraphing or telephoning
immediately they have become aware of a case, thus enabling the
patient to be removed as speedily as possible.

The following table shows the number of Notifications of Infectious Disease which have been notified since the formation of the Urban District in the year 1900, and also the respective Districts in which the cases have occurred:—

* This is for a period of eight months only.
Tuberculosis. During the year 11 cases of Tuberculosis were
notified. This number is a decrease of 12 over those notified the
previous year.
One of these cases proved fatal soon after notification. Three
patients notified in 1912 and one patient notified in 1913 also died
during 1914.
