The amount of unsound meat duly found on inspection
and condemned, during the comparatively short time that
systematic inspection was practised, compared with the
extremely small amounts thus dealt with in previous years,
proves the great utility of the Meat Regulations now in force,
when these are thoroughly carried out.
Special attention is directed to the large proportion of
Tuberculosis meat, which has thus been prevented from being
put on the market.
Bakehouses.—There are 23 Bakehouses within the District.
All are regularly inspected, 178 visits being paid during the
year, and in 37 instances were defects found.

of the Kent County Council.
