CHILDAND INFANT MORTALITY 1962

The number of deaths of infants under the age of 12 months for which full records exist was 19, compared with 19 in 1961.

The Registrar-General returns 16 infant deaths and the infant mortality rate for the year was 15.20 per 1,000 live births.

Deaths of children under 15 numbered 2 due to Leukaemia and Malignant Brain Tumour.
