(8) WHOOPING COUGH.
The following table gives the numbers of cases notified during the past four years:—

(9) MEASLES.
At the end of 1944, it was noted that the number
of cases of measles was steadily increasing and in the
first half of 1945 the number of cases reported reached
epidemic proportions. The peak of the epidemic was
reached in March and it was not until June that it could
be said the epidemic was over. Of the 1,102 cases
notified during the year, approximately 1,000 occurred
during February, March, April and May.
