Report of the Medical Officer of Health,
For the year 1893.
To the Chairman and Members of the Acton Local Board.
Gentlemen,
I beg to present to you my report on the health of Acton
for the year 1893.
This is my first year of office, and I am therefore dependant
very largely on the reports of my predecessors for obtaining a
comparative idea of the progress of Acton in matters of Sanitary
Science. On referring to the papers that have been handed over
to me, I find that the earliest statistics are those of 1884, 1885 &
1886, and the earliest report is that of 1885, which has been
printed. They are as follows:—
