Two licences to slaughter or stun animals, granted to skilled slaughtermen
pursuant to section 3 of the Slaughter of Animals Act, 1933, were renewed during
the year.
Offensive Businesses.
There was only one premises within the Borough where a business classed
as offensive was carried on, that being the slaughter of poultry. The food inspector
made 12 visits, but no cause for complaint was found.

of foods (other than ice cream) intended for sale, and 180 inspections were
made by the food inspector.
