Legal Proceedings in Connection with Nuisances.

The only summons issued during the year had reference to a failure to comply with a statutory notice and is detailed below:—

Smoke Nuisances.
During; the year 1931, 262 observations were made and 17 complaints were
received and dealt with. In each case the attention of the offender was drawn to
the matter. In no case was it necessary to institute proceeding's in court.
