The accompanying table shows the number of cases of measles, whooping cough, chicken-pox and the notifiable infectious diseases reported from Schools during 1924. During the year in certain of the schools, one or more classrooms were closed on account of measles.

Ophthalmia Neonatorum.

This disease—inflammation of the eyes in newly-born children—made notifiable by order of the London County Council in 1911, continued to be so during the whole of 1924. The following table gives information with regard to the 7 cases notified.
