The week ending May 7th was a fairly fine spring week. Minimum
temperature, 47.5°; maximum, 62.5°; mean, 51.8°. On three days rain fell,
giving a total fall of 0.51 inch. Winds W.S.W. Sunshine 37 per cent.
Mean barometer 29.8 inches.
The week ending May 14th was overcast, with variable and S.W. winds.
Minimum temperature, 37.2°; maximum, 69.5°; mean, 52.9°. On two
days rain fell to the extent of 0.34 inch. Mean barometer 30.0 inches.
The week ending May 21st was a remarkably bright summer-like week.
Minimum temperature, 43.1°; maximum, 72.6°; mean, 56.4°. Winds light
and variable. Showers of rain fell on one day only, yielding 0.34 inch.
Sunshine over 58 hours, which is equal to 53 per cent. Mean barometer 29.9
inches.
The week ending May 28th was cloudy and unsettled. Minimum
temperature, 50.0°; maximum, 74.0°; mean, 59.0°. On four days rain fell
the total fall being equal to 0.41 inch. Winds variable. Sunshine only
9 per cent. Mean barometer 29.8 inches.
