BIRTHS AND DEATHS.
The number of births during the 53* weeks ending December
31st, 1904, when all the essential corrections have been made
was 2,791.
The number of deaths (corrected) of parishioners was 2,172.
This gives a birth-rate, of 20.2; a death-rate of 16.0 per
thousand.
The birth and death-rates of the sub-districts during 1904 were as follows:—
