The week ending February 6th was of a moderate temperature the lowest
being 33.0°; highest, 48.0°; mean, 41.8. On three days, rain fell to the
total amount of 1.12 inch. The winds were N.W. and S.W. Sunshine in
Regent's Park (under ten hours) was equal to 13.8 per cent. of the possible.
Mean barometer 29.3 inches.
The week ending February 13th was wet, rain falling on six days out of
the seven to the total amount of 1.24 inch. Minimum temperature, 33.2°
maximum, 49.8°; mean, 43.3°. Winds S.W. Sunshine 12.4 per cent. Mean
barometer (low) 29.1 inches.
The week ending February 20th was drier and cooler. Minimum
temperature, 30.0° ; maximum, 52.8° ; mean, 40.2o. Slight rains fell on four
days to the amount of 0.43 inch. Winds, W.N.W. and N.W. Sunshine
14.4 per cent. Mean barometer, 29.3 inches.
The week ending February 27th was unseasonably cold. Minimum
temperature, 29.8° ; maximum, 53.0°; mean, 39.3°. There were only two
days of rain. The rainfall being .05 inch. The winds N.E. and S.E. and the
sunshine only 6 per cent. Mean barometer 29.9 inches.
The month was therefore unusually wet. More or less rain fell on 15
days, the total rainfall equalling 2.83 inches.
