The week ending January 2nd was gloomy and sunless. On three days
rain fell to the amount of 0.19 inch. The minimum temperature was 27.5º;
maximum 38.5º; mean, 34.0º. Winds, S.B. Barometer, 29.9 inches.
The week ending January 9th was also practically sunless, only 23 minutes
of bright sunshine being registered in Regents Park. On five days rain fell
to the extent of 0.24inch. Minimum temperature, 330°; maximum, 47.0°;
mean, 4T3º. Winds S.W. and S.E. Mean barometer 29.9 inches.
The week ending January 16th was brighter the sunshine being 18.8 per
cent. of the possible. On live days rain fell to the extent of 0.66 inch.
Winds N.W. and S.W. Minimum temperature, 33.0°; maximum, 54.5°;
mean, 43.lº. Mean barometer, 29.6 inches.
The week ending January 23rd was drier than the preceding weeks, rain
only falling on three days to the extent of .22 inch. The sunshine equalled
l3.5 per cent. of the possible. Winds N.E. and W.N.W. Mean barometer,
30.3 inches.
The week ending January 30th was one of heavy rain, 0.9 or nearly an
inch of rain falling in 4 days. Minimum temperature, 30.0º; maximum,
51.0°; mean, 42.1° Winds S.E. and S.W. Sunshine only 3.2 hours equal
to 5.2 per cent. Mean barometer 29.8 inches.
