for the Quarter ending September 24th, 1904, and the Quarterly
Statement of Analytical Work done under the Sale of Food and
Drugs Act, &c.

The week ending August 6th was fine and warm. Minimum
temperature, 53.0°; maximum, 87.0°; mean, 68.0°. On two days there
were slight showers, the rainfall only measuring 0.08 inch. Winds S.W
Sunshine 63.4%. Mean barometer, 29.9 inches.
The week ending August 13th was similar in weather, but slightly
cooler. Minimum temperature, 49.8°; maximum, 75.0°; mean, 61.0°. On
one day only slight rain fell (0.06 inch). Winds N. and W.S.W. Sunshine,
59.6 %. Mean barometer 29.9 inches.
The week ending August 20th was cooler than the preceding two weeks.
Minimum temperature 45.5°; maximum 75.0°; mean 59.5°. On two days
rain fell, the rainfall measuring 0.47 inch. Sunshine 38%. Winds W.S.W.
Mean barometer, 29.9 inches.
The week ending August 27th was cool, owing to N. and N.E. winds.
Minimum temperature 43.5°; maximum 72.7°; mean 57.6° On three days
slight rain fell (0.22 inch). Sunshine, 41.3%. Mean barometer, 29.9
inches.
The week ending September 3rd was moist, with variable winds.
Minimum temperature, 49.5°; maximum, 81.9°; mean, 61.0°. On three
days heavy showers fell, giving a rainfall of 1.01 inch. Sunshine, 40.9%.
Mean barometer, 29.8 inches.
