This is equivalent to a death-rate of 4.8, or just under 5
per thousand; the death-rate during the same period of the
sub-district of St. John, varied from a minimum of about 18
to a maximum of 22 per thousand.

This gives a zymotic rate of sickness per thousand living
of 14.3 per thousand, the rate for the sub-district of St. John's
during the same period being 11.8 or practically 12 per
thousand.
