Births and Deaths.
During the four weeks ending November 28th there have been registered 207 births and 150 deaths. These births and deaths are divided among the five sub-districts as set forth in Table IV. Fifty-four of the deaths were extra-parochial, as follow:—

The birth and death-rates, as deduced from the four weeks' statistics,
are as follows:—
All Souls, birth-rate 18.8; death-rate 9.5.
Rectory, birth-rate 15.1 ; death-rate 17.7.
St. Mary, birth-rate 233; death-rate 12.9.
Christ Church, birth-rate 23 0 ; death-rate 17.1.
St. John, birth-rate 18.4 ; death-rate 17.2.
The whole district, birth-rate 20.2; death-rate 14.7.
The average death-rates for five years (1897 to 1902) for the corresponding
period were as follows :—All Souls, 14.3; Rectory, 19.7 ; St. Mary, 19.6 ;
Christ Church, 19.2 ; St. John, 17.3; the whole district, 17.6.
