The week ending August 9th was rainy and cool. Minimum
temperature, 59.0°; maximum, 71.0°; mean, 60.3°. On six days rain
fell (069 inch). Winds WSW and SE. Sunshine, l3.8 per cent. Mean
barometer, 29.8 inches.
The week ending August 16th was cool and unsettled. Minimum
temperature, 44.0°; maximum, 75 0°; mean, 61.4°. Winds NW. On
three days rain fell (0.10 inch). Sunshine 27'5 per cent. Mean barometer,
29.8 inches.
The week ending August 23rd was wet. Minimum temperature,
48.0°; maximum, 72.5°; mean, 62.5°. Winds, SW. On live days rain
fell (1.61 inch). Sunshine 27.2 per cent. Mean barometer, 29.8 inches.
The week ending August 30th was brighter and more seasonable.
Minimum temperature, 50.0°; maximum, 77.0°; mean, 63.8°. Winds
SSE. Sunshine, 40.8 per cent. On three days slight rain fell (0.02 inch)
Mean barometer, 29.8 inches.
The week ending September 6th was a moderately fine week. Minimum
temperature, 50.o°; maximum, 71.5°; mean, 63.8°. Winds, SE and SW.
On three days slight rain fell (0.59 inch). Sunshine 29.6 per cent. Mean
barometer 29.8 inches.
