In Table IX. of Appendix will be found a list of
the samples taken in 1917, and the action taken; 1,070
samples were taken, compared with 1,001 in 1916 and 1,198 in
1915. Of these 13.2 per cent. were found adulterated, compared
with 11.1 per cent. in the previous year and 7.4 per cent. in
1915.
