PUBLIC HEALTH (TUBERCULOSIS) REGULATIONS, 1912.
The Regulations for dealing with Human Tuberculosis have been referred to in
previous reports; they deal with all cases of tuberculosis both of the lungs and when
localised in other parts of the body.
The number of cases notified during the year, and tabulated according to the ages
of the patients, will be found with particulars of infectious diseases upon page 21.
All cases of tuberculosis have been investigated and such action taken as was
possible to improve the condition of the sufferers, and to prevent the spread of infection.
The following table indicates the several forms of notifications received, and
whether they refer to males or females, together with particulars of the ages of the
patients. This tabulation is required by the Local Government Board for the year
commencing 4th January, 1914, and ending 2nd January, 1915:—
