FISH SUPPLIES.
221,731 tons of fish, of which 160,053 were land-borne and 61,678 water-borne,
were received at or near Billingsgate Market during the year.
This was an increase of 4,767 tons in the land deliveries, and a decrease of
6,962 tons in the deliveries by water.

Of the above, 5 tons 0 cwts. 8 qrs. 4 lbs. were seized as unsound by
your Officers, and those of the Fishmongers' Company. This equals .34&
per cent. of the whole, or 1 ton in 286 tons.
