Whenever marked meat is condemned by your officers the labels are
removed and forwarded to the Consul-General, with the object of enabling
him to investigate the circumstances under which such meat was passed for
export.
In order to perfect the system as far as possible, the Netherland Authorities
were requested to furnish the results of their enquiries in each case. The
importance of such action is emphasized by the fact that Holland furnishes
more than 70 per cent. of the total import of pork.

IMPORTED FROM DENMARK. (From figures supplied by the Commissioner for the Danish Government.) From Esbjerg to Parkeston, 1905.
