are sold; 14 are bakers who sell milk; 5 are confectioners who
sell milk; 54 are general shop keepers who sell milk; 7 are
vegetarian restaurant keepers where milk is sold; and 78 are other
cheap dining places where milk is retailed.

In eight cases the vendors attention has been directed to breaches of the regulations, as hereunder appended:—

A case of infectious disease occurred at No. 18, Mansell Street, on 11th
December, the owner of the business being registered as a purveyor of
milk"; immediate steps were taken to preserve the milk stored on the
premises from contamination, and the persons engaged in the business from
coming in contact with the infected person.
The persons registered either as dairymen or purveyors of milk in the City
of London, classified for convenience in streets, alphabetically arranged, will be
found in Appendix D.
MANUFACTURE OF ICE CREAMS, &c.
The London County Council (General Powers) Act, 1902, supported by
the Corporation of the City, received the Royal Assent on the 31st July,
1902, and came into force on the 1st November following.
