in 1948. Miss Walsh had been seconded to work with the World Health Organisation
and at the end of this period decided to remain with that body. Miss M. D. Butler, who
had acted as Divisional Nursing Officer was appointed to succeed her.
In December, 1958, Mr. E. M. Power, L.D.S., R.C.S., who had acted as Assistant
Chief Dental Officer since July, 1953 and had given in all over 36 years to the public
dental service, retired at the age of 65 years.
