The table shows, so far as the figures relating to notified cases of this disease can be trusted in this
connection, that the incidence of this disease is greatest upon the later ages of life and that the number
of female3 attacked exceeds the number of males attacked.
Puerperal Fever.
The deaths in the Administrative County of London in the year 1904 (52 weeks) attributed to
puerperal fever 1 numbered 198.
The number of cases notified and the number of deaths registered from this cause since the year
1890 have been as follows—
