Infant Mortality.
The deaths of children under one year of age in the Administrative County of London during
1904 (52 weeks) numbered 18,600, being in the proportion of 144 per 1,000 births.

London had therefore both in the period 1894-1903 and in 1904 a lower infant mortality than
any of these towns except Bristol.
