** By-laws relating to tents and vans were made by the Wandsworth and Lewisham Boards under the Housing of the Working Classes Act of 1885. The parish of Battersea was included at the time in the district under the jurisdiction
of the Wandsworth Board, and hence inherits these by-laws. The Wandsworth Board has submitted for approval of the Local Government Board new by-laws under the Public Health (London) Act, 1891.
