* The numbers of "Not known" and "Removed" would have been considerably
less if the birth had been registered within 5 days (instead of within
(6—12 weeks) so that the Infant might have been visited earlier.
† Of the 846 "Found correct," in 24 cases the Infant was illegitimate ; and
in 27 cases it was either not possible or else not advisable to press for detailed
information, so in the Feeding and Weaning Tables (pages 55, 5G and 57)
only 795 (i.e., 846—24—27) Infants are dealt with.
